Since its inception, the Academy has been a learned society of outstanding Dutch scientists and scholars. Membership is awarded on the basis of scientific and scholarly achievement. Members are appointed for life. Nominations may be submitted by members and non-members.
The Academy Board consists of the president, the vice-president, the general secretary and three members. The board members are appointed by the members.About the Academy
