André Aleman, Professor of Neurosciences, University Medical Centre Groningen, is an innovative, internationally renowned brain researcher. His research covers such subjects as suicide, ageing, schizophrenia and depression. One of Aleman’s achievements was to analyse the brains of schizophrenic patients who hear voices. His research is regularly cited in textbooks and finds its way onto the desks of policymakers.
A former member of The Young Academy, Aleman has also written an international bestseller about the older brain and enjoys giving lectures to general audiences.
