Bert Brunekreef is Professor of Environmental Epidemiology at Utrecht University. He studies the relationship between the environment and public health. He serves on national and international advisory panels in the field of environmental health, including for the World Health Organisation and the European Union. From 2005 to 2017, he was the director of the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS) at Utrecht University.
